Church of the Outback

We are here for all those who cannot get to a church service.

About USContact Us

We are a church for all

Who We are?

We are a family of Christian believers across the length and breadth of Australia who care for each other.  We help connect Christians living remotely.  Church of the Outback has its own pastors and leaders of the church.  We meet at least once weekly through out church service via teleconference each Sunday morning.  You are welcome to join us through contacting Pastor Alan. We are a ministry of the Churches of Christ, Queensland but minister to all Australia.

Our PASTORs

Alan and Myril Frankham

Our Pastors Myril and Alan Frankham have been engaged in pastoral ministry for many years. In the early days this ministry was served as part of the laity and more recent years in a more full-time pastoral capacity supporting people in rural and remote areas both in Queensland and other states of Australia since taking up their current role with Church of the Outback. Over the last 10 years Alan has also been engaged as a Prison Chaplain providing support to people that have been incarcerated. Myril has a particular ministry working with women in the bush who are often unheard in the background or just need encouragement.

Our aim as individuals

What do we do?

As part of God’s Kingdom of believers here on earth, we strive to live our lives as Jesus Christ taught, to love one another, and live as Jesus would have.  Below is a snapshot of some of the key areas in our church ministry.

Growing Together

Bible Study

By being involved with Church of the Outback, it is a way to encourage bible study between anyone who is a part of the congregation.

Hearing God’s Word

Messages/Talks

Each Sunday morning, Pastor Alan or one of the other senior members of the congregation will provide a bible based message.  You are welcome to join us and listen in.

Ongoing

Visitation

Pastor Alan and Myril make an effort each year to visit  as many members of Church of the Outback which is possible.

Prayer

Caring for Each Other

An important part of being part of a church family is that we can pray for each other both as individuals and as a group.

Growing Together

Discipling each Other

An important part of any church is the discipling or mentoring of each other.  No matter where you are in your walk through life, there are others who will help your journey.

Diversity

Young, old, single, family

Our church family is made up of ordinary people, both young and old, singles, couples and families.  No matter what your age group or circumstance, you are welcome to be a part of our church family.

Our Vision

What is Important!

“Looking out for each other”

Jesus said to Love God with all your heart and soul, and to love your neighbours as yourself.  We try to look out for each other

“Caring for our neighbours”

Being a Christian is not just looking after ourselves, but is also about caring for our neighbours and others just as Jesus did.

“Reflecting what Jesus would have done”

“What would Jesus do?” helps us live our lives as Jesus Christ did.  Jesus is truly alive today and can be a part of our lives if we let him.

“Reaching out as Jesus did”

Jesus changed the world through teaching a message of love.  We try to also be a witness through our own words and actions.
